Uncle Stan's Beef Stew By Stan Boyer

Ingredients: Three to six pounds lean beef  depending on size of crowd.  Chuck or similar quality is better than more expensive cuts.  Cut into large pieces.  Put into Dutch oven.  Mix together 1 can each of Campbell’s Minestrone, Tomato Bisque and Cream of Mushroom soups. 

Pour over meat and bake covered in a 250 degree oven for a minimum of 6 hours; 8 hours is better for tenderness.  (I start it off at 350 for the first hour .)  Add white wine to taste last half hour to hour of cooking time. 

May be served  in soup bowls over rice, noodles, or simply as a regular entree.

Also, I sometimes add carrots to the stew during the last 1 1/2 - 1 hour of cooking time.
