Pablo's Butter Pastry (Single)
Ingredients: Ten tablespoons of butter, Two large egg yokes, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, one and two thirds cup of all purpose flour, one quarter cup of sugar, Two tablespoons of ice water and half teaspoon of salt.
Preparation: Cut butter and sugar together until the size of small peas, Add yolks, water, vanilla, and salt and mix briefly. Add flour and mix until dough begins to form a ball. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for thirty minutes. Prepare pastry for pie by rolling to 1/8" thickness and press into pie pan. If your recipe requires a baked shell, place pie crust into a 400 degree oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Let cool.
