Gwen's Green Chili Torta

Ingredients: One cup butter, One cup all purpose flour, One half teaspoon salt, Eight ounces small curd cottage cheese, Ten large eggs, One teaspoon baking powder, Eight ounces chopped green chiles, One pound Jack Cheese, shredded. 

Preparation:  Melt butter in a glass 9 x 13 inch pan.  In a medium bowl beat eggs and add flour, baking powder and salt.  Pour melted butter into this mixture and blend.  Add chiles, cottage cheese and jack cheese.  Pour into Pyrex dish.  Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then lower temperature to 350 degrees for 35 minutes.  Serve hot or cold.
