Gruyere Cheese Rolls
Ingredients: One and one half cups
(6-ounces) shredded Gruyere Cheese, One cup cooked shrimp, chopped; One quarter
cup sliced green onions, Two eggs, One quarter teaspoon salt, One eighth
teaspoon pepper, One package (8-ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls, One
tablespoon butter, melted,
Preparation: In a medium bowl stir together cheese, shrimp,
onion, eggs, salt and pepper until thoroughly mixed, set aside. Unroll crescent
dough onto lightly floured surface. Smooth out perforations on both sides of
crescent roll dough. Fold in half lengthwise. Roll out to a 9 x 14-inch
rectangle. Brush with butter. Spread cheese mixture in two inch strip along one
long side of dough. Roll up dough lengthwise. Firmly close ends together. Brush
seam with water, and smooth to seal. Place roll onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 400°F for twenty minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before
serving. Slice roll into individual portions.
