Ahi with
Sesame-Cilantro Marinade
Ingredients: Three
pounds Ahi tuna steaks, One cup thinly sliced green onions, One cup chopped
fresh cilantro, Two tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted, Two cloves garlic,
crushed, One half cup soy sauce, One quarter cup dark sesame oil, One quarter
cup honey, One teaspoon hot sauce.
Preparation:
Place steaks in a large shallow dish. Combine green onions
and next 3 ingredients in a small bowl. Combine soy sauce & next 3
ingredients, stir well. Add onion mixture to soy sauce mixture; stir well. Pour
over steaks. Cover & marinate in refrigerator 8 hours, turning occasionally.
Remove steaks from marinade, discarding marinade. Grill steaks, covered, over
medium-hot coals for about 4 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily
when tested with a fork. 6 servings.
